This paper explores the frequency of the concept “style” in Educational indexes and journals, taking into consideration the different senses and meanings that the concept recieves. This allows the author to arrive to a particular definition of the concept, different form similar notions. Once its importance and particularity is established, the most urgent difficulties and needs of this field of research are discussed within the context of the research group called Colombian Cognitive Styles.

<p>The “Cognitive Style and Academician Weariness in Mathematical” project search to correlate the dependient-independient of field cognitive style (DIC) front to the Academician Weariness in Mathematical. The research has a transeccional correlational design. La people studied was a group of students of the 9° of one Distrital Educative Institution; for interpret and analyze the information it used the descriptive statistic.</p>

This paper discusses the concept of teaching style from three points of view: teachers’ beliefs; cognitive style and comunicative approaches. These three views can be considered as different aspects of the same teaching activity. They give place to three questions that lead us to the main directions of educational research in the field.
