El presente artículo muestra el resultado de un estudio descriptivo, con diseño transversal, respecto a las tendencias del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas (SPA) en jóvenes universitarios, en tres momentos diferentes (2003, 2007 y 2013). Tiene como antecedentes, entre otros, el Programa Presidencial RUMBOS con la coordinación de la Encuesta Nacional sobre Consumo de SPA en Jóvenes (Presidencia de la República, 2000). La información fue obtenida a través de un instrumento diseñado por la autora y validado en su contenido, estadísticamente y por jueces expertos. Desde un enfoque  cualitativo permite desarrollar análisis de la información sin intervenir en las respuestas de los sujetos. ABSTRACTThis article shows the results of a descriptive study with cross-sectional design trends regarding substance use (hereinafter SPA) in university students, at three different times (2003, 2007 and 2013). Its history, among others, Presidential RUMBOS with coordinating the National Survey on Youth Consumption SPA (Presidency of the Republic, 2000). The information was obtained through an instrument designed by the author and its content validated statistically and by expert judges.

Se caracterizó la estructura de Hogares Sustitutos del ICBF, Barranquilla, a partir de una investigación de tipo descriptivo. Participaron 32 familias del Programa de Hogares Sustitutos del ICBF. Se utilizaron el Apgar Familiar, el Faces III y una encuesta sociodemográfica. Los datos fueron analizados a partir de estadística descriptiva, a su vez que cualitativamente. Los principales resultados muestran un predominio en estas familias con una estructura tradicional (nuclear y extensa, con unión religiosa), y con adecuada funcionalidad, aunque un porcentaje menor presentaban cierta disfuncionalidad en: afectividad, establecimiento de normas, límites y roles, lo cual sería necesario mejorar para brindar a los niños y niñas del ICBF, entornos adecuados para su desarrollo. ABSTRACTThe structure and family functionality of substitute homes of the ICBF of Barranquilla were characterized, from a descriptive research. 32 families of Substitute Homes Program of the ICBF participed in this study. Were utilized the Family Apgar, the Faces III and a sociodemographic survey. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The main results show a predominance in these families of a traditional structure (nuclear and extended, with religious union), and proper functionality, although a lower percentage had some dysfunctionality in affectivity, setting norms, boundaries and roles, which should be improved to provide children of ICBF, developmentally appropriate environments.

Se investigó sobre el tipo de creencias relacionadas con el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas (SPA), y su relación con la abstinencia voluntaria, en pacientes farmacodependientes con diagnóstico dual (psicosis inducida por sustancias, trastorno afectivo bipolar y esquizofrenia). Participaron 90 pacientes del Programa de Rehabilitación de Farmacodependencias del Hospital Universitario ESE CARI de Barranquilla, Colombia. El instrumento utilizado fue el Cuestionario de Creencias Acerca del Abuso de Sustancias (Beck y cols., 1999). Los resultados muestran que las creencias más frecuentes son las de alivio, seguidas por las anticipadoras y las permisivas, con un ligero predominio de éstas en el grupo de Esquizofrenia. Aunque se observaron algunas asociaciones entre el tipo y el contenido de las creencias y el tipo de diagnóstico, sin embargo, no se encontró diferencia significativa al respecto del tipo de creencias entre los tres grupos diagnósticos. Tampoco se halló relación entre el tipo de creencia y el tiempo de abstinencia. ABSTRACTIt was investigated the type of beliefs related to psychoactive substance use (SPA) and its relation to the voluntary withdrawal in drug dependent patients with dual diagnosis (substance-induced psychosis, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia). 90 patients participated in the Drug Rehabilitation Program of the University Hospital ESE CARI Barranquilla, Colombia. The instrument used was the Questionnaire of Beliefs About Substance Abuse (Beck et al., 1999). The results indicate that beliefs most frequent are of relief, followed by anticipatory and permissive, with a slight predominance of these in the schizophrenia group. Although some associations were observed between the type and content of the beliefs and the type of diagnosis, however, there was no significant difference regarding the type of beliefs among the three diagnostic groups. Neither relation was found between the type of belief and the time of withdrawal.

La enfermería es una profesión especialmente vocacional, de ayuda y cuidado de personas enfermas y de sus familiares, con altos niveles de exigencia y responsabilidad social; condición que ya se hace presente en estudiantes de esta carrera, debido a las múltiples demandas de su entorno académico y social. Esto los puede hacer proclives a desarrollar formas crónicas de estrés, como el Burnout Académico, en particular, cuando fracasan sus recursos de afrontamiento del estrés. El presente estudio indaga la relación del Burnout Académico con las estrategias de afrontamiento en estudiantes de enfermería , através de un diseño correlacional, en el que participaron 195 estudiantes, de 2° a 8° Semestre, de dos universidades privadasd de la ciudad de Barranquilla, Colombia. Se encontró que aunque se presentaban en ellos niveles bajos en dos dimensiones del síndrome (Agotamiento y Cinismo), mostraban altos niveles de Ineficacia Académica percibida, es decir, que los estudiantes tendían a tener una pobre visión de su capacidad para llevar a cabo sus estudios y actividades académicas. Se determinó que existe una clara relación entre cada una de las dimensiones del Burnout Académico y el tipo de Estrategia de Afrontamiento utilizada por los estudiantes.ABSTRACTThis study investigates the relationship between academic burnout and coping strategies among nursing students, through a correlational design, which involved 195 students, from 2° to 8° semester, in two private universities in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. Although the students had low levels of the syndrome in two dimensions (Exhaustion and Cynicism), showed high levels of Inefficiency Academic; they tended to have a poor view of their ability to carry out their studies and academic activities. It was determined that there is a clear relationship between each of the dimensions of the Academic Burnout and the types of coping strategies used by students.

Este artículo se dirige a animar la reflexión sobre el Horizonte Pedagógico Sociocrítico (HPSC) de la Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), el cual orienta la perspectiva, estrategia y finalidades de la acción pedagógica en la Universidad, en coherencia con el conjunto del Proyecto Educativo Institucional. En primer lugar, hace una breve contextualización de las fuentes del HPSC en el Ideario Bolivariano que inspira a la USB, y realiza una modelización del Horizonte, retomando los aportes de la pedagogía crítica. Posteriormente, aporta elementos para una fundamentación psicológica del mismo. Finalmente, presenta algunos avances de la implementación del horizonte en el programa de Psicología, a partir de lo cual reflexiona generando algunas propuestas para el desarrollo del HPSC en el programa y la institución.ABSTRACTThis article is aimed to encourage the reflection of the Sociocritic Pedagogical Horizon (SCPH) of the Simon Bolivar University (USB), which guides the perspective, strategy and objectives of the pedagogical action at the University, in a coherent way with the whole Institutional Educational Project. First, it presents a brief contextualization of the sources of SCPH in the Bolivarian Idearium that inspires USB, and then, a modelization of this Horizonte, based on the contributions of critical pedagogy. Subsequently, it provides elements for the psychological foundation thereof. Finally, it presents some progress of its implementation in the Psychology program, from which reflects and raises some proposals for the development of SCPH in the program and the institution.

El presente artículo tiene como propósito efectuar una reflexión en torno a la articulación de los objetivos organizacionales y los objetivos personales, desde la óptica del desarrollo humano de propuestas como las de Maslow y Max Neef. En una primera instancia, desde una perspectiva crítica, se muestra el hecho de que las organizaciones han estado más interesadas en sus propósitos de acumular riquezas y lograr sus metas de desarrollo, y ajenas a las necesidades de las personas más inmediatas constituidas por sus propios trabajadores. El planteamiento que muestra el trabajo es que es necesario armonizar las necesidades de las organizaciones y de las personas, y con ello romper el individualísimo empresarial, a partir del concepto de responsabilidad social. ABSTRACTThis paper aims to make a reflection about the articulation of organizational goals and personal goals, from the perspective of human development proposed by Maslow and Max Neef. In the first instance, from a critical perspective, it is shown the fact that organizations have been more interested in purpose of accumulating wealth and achieving their development goals unrelated to the needs of the closest people constituted by their own workers. The approach of the paper is that it is possible to harmonize the needs of organizations and individuals, and thereby break the entrepreneurial individualism starting from the concept of social responsibility.

El escrito presenta un recorrido histórico y conceptual de la Psicología Social como conocimiento básico de la ciencia psicológica e imprescindible en el ejercicio profesional del psicólogo, que apunta a develar el “ser social” de la persona humana, a entenderla y comprenderla para crear nuevas y mejores formas de relacionamiento social, liberando y expandiendo sus posibilidades personales, en la perspectiva de un proceso continuo de desarrollo humano. Refleja como la disciplina produce conocimientos y tecnologías mediante las cuales el ser humano se conoce a sí mismo para reinterpretarse como ser social y agente de transformación. ABSTRACTThe paper presents a historical and conceptual path of social psychology as a basic understanding of psychological science and essential to the practice of psychologists, which aims to reveal the "social being" of the human person, to understand it and understand it to create new and best forms of social relationships, liberating and expanding their personal potential, the prospect of a continuous process of human development. It reflects the discipline produces knowledge and technologies through which the human being knows himself to be socially and reinterpreted as a processing agent.

En este artículo de reflexión se describe el recorrido didáctico de la asignatura de Investigación Psicológica desarrollada con estudiantes de la Facultad de Psicología mediante el Horizonte Pedagógico Socio-Crítico de la Universidad Simón Bolívar y, los cuatro retos del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de las competencias investigativas identificados. ABSTRACTThis article describes the didactic strategies of asignature psychological research developed with students of the program of Psychology through Socio-Critical Pedagogical Horizon at Universidad Simon Bolivar and the four challenges of teaching-learning process described learning of investigative skills identified.

El siguiente diagnóstico participativo en salud dirigido a las instituciones distritales educativas de Barranquilla, Colombia, se desarrolló dentro del proceso de prácticas formativas de la asignatura “Promoción de la salud y Prevención de los problemas sociales” a cargo de los estudiantes del programa de psicología de IX semestre de la Universidad Simón Bolívar en el marco del programa “Interacción Social y Desarrollo Ciudadano” del Departamento de Extensión y Proyección Social de la U.S.B. ABSTRACTThe strategic objective of this intervention is to conceptualize and describe the theoretical, epistemological and methodological compromise mental health of our region, so as to design, manage and operate through promotion and prevention programs, aimed at providing alternative solutions to social problems in the community. For it was decided to conduct a participatory assessment in health that would provide information necessary for the design and implementation of a management project that responds to the problems encountered, the diagnosis counted with the universe of the student population and faculty directors group of 8 ° at 10 ° with their respective courses (a, b, c) in two District Educational Institutions Barranquilla. For data collection techniques were used participatory qualitative and quantitative type, such as Group Interview teachers and students designed the guide questions, based on a study that was run on the Pintana Commune by the Catholic University of Chile in 1999, which was adapted by the teacher in the classroom and Martha Rambals practices and applied Spanish adaptation of White & Diaz (2005 ) scales: Subjective Well Diener ( ? = 0.68) , Ryff Psychological Well-being ( ? = 0.73), Social Welfare Keyes ( ? = 0,70 ). The results showed that both teachers and students have mixed opinions regarding the concept of health, some considered to be the absence of disease and others that it is the welfare of the human being, and the trend continues in the seven remaining conceptual category; in the level of subjective,psychological and social well-being, the students are in middle levels - high in most of the dimensions studied, but levels evidenced the presence of low levels in social welfare with respect to the update, social contribution and social coherence .

Este artículo aborda la participación comunitaria de la mujer frente a la salud en Barranquilla. Inicialmente se aborda y delimita conceptualmenteLa participación comunitaria de la mujer y luego se analiza a partir de un  estudio de caso único, en el cual se emplearon la historia de vida, la entrevista, diarios de campos, la matriz DOFA y cuestionarios de preguntas. La información se organizó e interpretó cualitativamente, concluyéndose que la mujer en la participación comunitaria ha sido fruto de una necesidad sentida por aportar al mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida y aumentar el fomento de estilos de vida saludables en las comunidades. ABSTRACTMaladaptive schemas are stable cognitive structures in which stored "irrational and biased" information is about himself, life and others, we have learned, strengthened and maintained throughout the history of the individual , predisposing people to alter their view of events and as a result, from cognitive behavioral perspective, generating dysfunctional behaviors and symptoms that affect their livelihoods. In this paper the formation of some maladaptive schemas that may be associated with future anxiety disorders that the individual develops, due to their distorted way of perceiving the various situations that happen will be analyzed.

El artículo presenta reflexiones sobre la educación superior, en donde la premisa es que la educación es un bien público y un derecho social y universal, y que ella tiene un papel estratégico que jugar en los procesos de desarrollo sustentable de los países de la región. Con base en algunos autores, se identifican escenarios deseables y factibles, e ideas que pueden impulsar la definición de políticas de estado para la consolidación, expansión y creciente calidad y pertinencia de la educación superior en la región, y para visualizar en términos prospectivos, los retos y las oportunidades que se plantean en la educación superior de la región a la luz de la integración regional y de la globalización. ABSTRACTThis paper presents reflections on higher education, where the premise is that education is a public good and a social and universal right, and she has a strategic role to play in the process of sustainable development of the countries of the region. By some authors, desirable and feasible scenarios, and ideas that can drive the definition of state policies for the consolidation, expansion and increasing quality and relevance of higher education in the region are identified and to display in prospective terms, challenges and opportunities facing higher education in the region in light of regional integration and globalization.
