In the context of Kantian philosophy, the articulation of moral, historical, juridical and political arguments, paves the way to the delineation of a practica1 political system. This article attempts to show how the political theses of The perpetual peace (defense of Republicanism, illegitimacy of Revolution, proposal of an inter-statal Constitution, a cosmopolitan Constitution, legitimacy of the citizens resistance through public expression, sense of political morality) found insertion in the critical framework that, illuminated by the categorical imperative, and the principle of finality, makes possible the Autonomy of will and the goals of pure reason. - La belleza como un acto de piedad

This article alludes to the platonic tradition of ethics and art unity. It is not in agreement with the opposers of this idea, as writer Oscar Wilde, marxist thinkers Luckács and Brecht, and Matthew Amold, who suggest that art supplants religion. The author's view is based on examples extracted, among others, from Tolstoy, Dostoievski, Bécquer and Holderlin. He insists that art, as ethics, helps to rediscover the essence of life, truth, novelty and, above, all, creates astonishment in a process that conveys to God's adoration. - La virtud de la esperanza y la ascética cristiana en algunos escritos del Beato Josemaría Escrivá

Colombia is currently afflicted by a deep moral crisis as a result of a sustained neglect of the highest moral, legal and religious standards and laws. The worst crisis suffered builds upon the language. Not only because falsehood reigns but also because knowledge appears ever more distant from the truth. High education institutions are responsible for abandoning the teaching of the humanities. The humanities civilized barbarians and without then civilized people quickly fell into barbarism.Overcorning the crisis requires the restoration of the sciences of the spirit, the formation of the habits of reading as well as writing and the consolidation of articulate dialogue and conversation in the student. It is thus urgent to go back to the classics. In this manner, the human being will be spiritually replenished according to its high moral and intellectual standing. This is precisely thebasic work of the university. - Creer que se cree

The University of Christian inspiration is a space genuinely vowed to place Christ at the top of every person and of the whole world. In this context, the university must contribute to rescue the christian sense of human corporeity and of matter itself, at a time in history where secularized materialism promotes its profanation. That matter is capable of spirit, that the spirit is open to matter -being spirit and matter distinct but not antagonist- are theses which in the present time require a deep reflection and thought, once it is understood that the human being is incarnated person and simultaneously that the human being is more than flesh. - El mundo de Sofía

The inquiry jnlo lhe foulldalion of human rights is not overcome by positive law. Today's epoch Is a time of crisis. Freedom does not belong to the order of naltural inclinations but to the order of being because it is the tendency or disposition of man toward perfection. It is not that freedom finds itself sense and plenitude. It is instead and onlological dimension of the himan being. The choice of evil is only possible as a distortion of freedom. The limit of freedom is human dignity or the eminence of being which in turn presupposes an "ought to be". Freedom is freedom for good. Dignity is not neutral. It is a valuation criterion referred to the eminence of man's goodness. The person is a demanding creature. In certain aspects he must be. The "ought to be" is the good that constitudes the perfection or realization of man. Human dignity is, consequently, objetive criterion of goodness and od the lawfulness of his acts in relation with himself and with others. - Presentación
