  • State and Prospective of the PRAU (Proyectos Ambientales Universitarios) in the Universities present in the city of Monteria
In the present work an analysis of the state and towards where the PRAUS university environmental projects are focused will be presented, in the universities that offer their educational services in the city of Monteria and to be able to establish what is their contribution in the resolution of environmental problems of their environment and especially the city. The visits to the university establishments allowed us to approach the approach of these as a mitigation strategy of these problems, through direct contact with the professionals in charge of the management, in the same way the enclosure to the student population and to evaluate their perception, all this will be contrasted with the field information of other stakeholders such as local action boards, non-governmental organizations, public and private institutions that can contribute knowledge to this research. Hidroituango is the largest electric megaproject in the history of Colombia, one of the most ambitious draft that the country has undertaken in recent decades. Its implementation aims to generate 2,400 MW of energy, 17% of the country’s total production. Its construction began in 2009 and its operation, expected for 2018, has not started due to alleged geological failures and rainfall effects. At the beginning of 2019, there were landslides, blockages of the tunnels and the closure of the river flow by EPM, which sparked strong debates in the country due to the effects on the populations. Universidad Santo Tomás, seeking to build reflections that contribute to the generation of strategies to face such a critical situation, opened a scenario for Hidroituango’s analysis. The event began with a historical and technical contextualization, but there was no contextualization of the social, economic and political problems experienced by the indigenous communities that have been deslocated from their territories, the loss of social networks and a way of life with knowledge ancestral associated to barequeo, the fishing and the muleteer. The objective of this article is to roll back, in a summary way, the speakers’ responses, starting with the necessary contextualization made from bibliographic revision, which was not possible at the moment, due to time issues, but it is essential for respect to communities whose job was next to be recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage and, instead, they were dispossessed from their lands, their ways of life and subsistence. Needless to say that this article includes only the author’s thinking.

The low academic levels in basic sciences of engineering programs are a factor of inci- dence in the desertion, reason for which the objective of the investigation was oriented to investigate on teaching-learning strategies for teachers and students, and thus mitigate the causes of losses in academic spaces. Initia- lly, learning styles were identified where the use of graphic organizers as a didactic tea- ching-learning strategy in virtual learning environments (AVA) became evident, which most students placed in visual learning. Me- thodologically, research is placed in the educa- tional context, applying both quantitative and qualitative techniques and instruments; The study sample corresponds to students of ma- thematical logic. The results showed relevant aspects for the improvement of the learning of the numerical systems, especially in the con- version. The findings established the graphic organizers as a strategy of consolidation of learning in the teaching of mathematics for engineering programs in AVA.

The challenges that education based on vir- tual learning environments imposes on educa- tional institutions that incorporate programs under virtual mediation, require students to build a scenario for the promotion of scientific research that is combined with the reality in which they are immersed. Thus, limitations such as the lack of spaces for interaction and socialization of results, the limited relations- hip with seedbed leaders, the connectivity difficulties that group members who are loca- ted in municipalities with low technological infrastructure may face, are some of the limi- tations that work in seedbeds, under virtual mediation, imply for those who promote the participation of students in research groups of universities. Taking into account the above, the conditions under which the research seedlings proposal is developed with the students of the Systems Engineering program, virtual modali- ty of the Andean Area University Foundation, are presented.

"The Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) started in 2014 a restructuring process of the research area, reviewing and interrelated the academic spaces that included the research modules to unify their denomination in all the undergraduate programs of the Faculty; likewise, to unify the contents, the number of credits and their orientation; This is because the chairs with the research component were transversal to all the programs; therefore, the union of the mentioned elements was proposed, giving rise to a common line and academic space that would facilitate speaking a general conceptual language at the level of Formative Research in the Faculty, taking advantage of the fact that at that date formative research activities were developed. From the above, the interest arose to collect and analyze how the research process was be- ing carried out in the academic programs of the FCT; as well as knowing the impact of the research proposals that had been carried out; its contribution to the human and integral for- mation of the students; its coherence with the fields of study of academic programs in the period 2005 and 2014 and thus know the evo- lution of research in the Faculty of Science and Technology during this period."
