<p>This article presents an approach to learning in spaces of artistic creation, whose central axis is based on the practical actions inherent to various production methodologies in the visual arts creation processes. Methodologically, the research uses a documentary review to describe and analyze learning practices in research/creation, visual semiotic reading, and creative actions, which converge in the search for holistic development in the formation of the student. The main finding shows that artistic practice, from its experimental and experiential characterization, favors the development of skills in academic formation, disciplinary domain, and sociocultural areas developed in spaces of interdisciplinary relationship.</p>
