This article exposes some concepts that allow to understand the process of the construction of identity of women after dealing with an event of forced displacement; to that end, efforts will be made, in a first time, to define this type of displacement through the notions of authors such as Donny Meertens, Martha Bello and Harvey Danilo Suarez. To do this, the concept of gender relations exposed by the sociologist Magdalena Leon will be revisited, a pioneer in this field, who presents elements to understand the gender systems, the power relations between the sexes and the influence of these elements in the social representations, in the collective expectations, and hence, in the construction of identity of women. - Protesting for rights, the right to protest. Social protests, conducted as collective actions for which some rights are recognized, are often amplified by the media, to whose rules, nevertheless, they must subordinate. Also, at the reception, multiple variables are set to play and give closure to the televised discourse in different ways.
