Education, being a universal right, is a concern of international organizations, which propose policies that allow expanding coverage and guaranteeing the quality of education. In Colombia, the Ministry of Education has standards that guide what must be met in each school grade, however, if a student lacks skills such as abstract reasoning, visual spatial perception, attention or fine motor skills, their learning process will be affected and with it the fulfillment of these standards. In this context, a screening protocol was developed to identify learning difficulties in children who enter the school world, and the objective of the work was to validate the protocol using the evidence of validity referred to the criterion with samples required from three schools with different performance in the Saber tests of the city of Bogotá. In this sense, the percentile results were compared between the tests that make up the screening and a gold standard, for this case it is the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for children-IV (WISC-IV, for its acronym in English), related to the measured processes and the learning process, which also makes it possible to identify difficulties in the processes considered necessary for good mathematical learning and literacy (transversal to all areas of knowledge and educational degrees). In addition to this, the regression equation and the sensitivity and specificity of the Screening were proposed, finding significant correlations between the tests of the Screening protocol and the gold standard (WISC-IV), in addition to high sensitivity and specificity. - The success of a school education policy in Colombia: much more than bilingualism

Regarding the attempts of Colombia to be a bilingual nation and the lag in the objectives of the National Bilingual Program, this research evaluates the school education policy with emphasis on bilingualism of the Provincia de Quebec School. Family, socioeconomic, motivational and pedagogical-didactic factors are analyzed and through hermeneutic triangulation new context indicators are formulated to show the. State the reasons that affect the lag of achievements. It was found that there are excellent academic results in English and a good coexistence improvement which demonstrate that the school policy had a positive impact that could be copied in other schools. - Business Intelligence data visualization for decision making: a case study with the Power BI

This work aimed to understand how data visualization tools in Business Intelligence can contribute to decision-making in organizations. It is an exploratory study developed as a case study of a Public Institution of Higher Education in the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). With the Power BI tool, it was possible to integrate the Institution's databases and develop dashboards that support decision-making on the allocation of resources based on gender issues of the students; on the number of new participants per course; on the number of participants by state; of students dropping out of each course and each state; on the number of students with special needs; and on the teaching modality chosen by the students. It is concluded that data visualization through Power BI allows making decisions to properly size the physical and logical infrastructure of the Institution. - Evaluation of factors associated with time management in university students in distance education

The relativity of time is an influential factor in academic autonomy in liquid modernity, there are expressions such as: time is not enough, time to study must be created because it does not exist; or, the priority, the urgent, the necessary, what has to be done, what they ask us to do and fatigue do not leave time for study. To resolve these concerns, the results of the evaluation of factors that affect time management are presented in students of the Colombian mega university of distance education, through a quasi-experimental study with a sample of 355 students, in order to offer time management strategies which are in agreement with these evaluated factors: goal setting, time management tools, perception of control and order-organization. We sought to determine if there are significant differences by gender and age through an ANOVA analysis. It was concluded that the students handle the factors at an acceptable level; there are no significant differences between the variables.
