REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN DE LA FACULTAD DE INGENIERÍA This paper aims at showing the predictive modeling of living systems, particularly some commonly structured modeling assumptions which simplify the behavior of living systems. It also takes into account the stochastic modeling of basic gene expression mechanisms, such as transcription and translation, reaffirming the effect that simplifications have on the predictive behavior of living systems. These mechanisms rely on the basis of most gene expressions, signaling pathways and protein- protein interaction network models. This paper states that the usage of naïve modeling abstractions may result in predictive behaviors that are quite far from reality.

RESUMEN

REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN DE LA FACULTAD DE INGENIERÍA Este artículo, tiene como objetivo mostrar el impacto que ha tenido la implementación de sistemas de gestión de calidad y ambiental en las PyMEs como resultado de un estudio exploratorio realizado en Bogotá (Colombia).  El  desempeño  de  estas  organizaciones,  impactan  en buena parte en el cumplimiento de objetivos macroeconómicos y en el desempeño económico que fomentan el bienestar de la sociedad. La implementación de sistemas de gestión ayuda a las organizaciones a desarrollar procesos eficientes y ordenados de tal manera que faciliten sus actividades productivas y operativas.

It also reviews some of the state- of-the-art methods that improve the representation of language in a statistical way. Specifically, these reported methods improve statistical models known as N-gram models. This paper also shows a method to measure models in order to compare them.

Con virtualización se hace referencia a proyectos en los que se digitaliza de manera interactiva un lugar físico. La metodología se presenta de manera detallada, así como algunos problemas que generalmente se presentan junto con sus posibles soluciones.

REVISTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN DE LA FACULTAD DE INGENIERÍA This Cluster has been well received as one of the most effective solutions to enhance energy efficiency and scalability of large-scale wireless sensor networks. However, it is rather challenging to conforma cohesive group of Clusters having permanent communication  among Cluster heads. In this paper, a unique look at the Cluster head election problem is taken into account, specifically concentrating on applications in which the formation and maintenance  of a virtual backbone among Cluster heads is the main requirement.  Our  approach  for  Cluster-based  network  organization  is based on the use of collective social agents in order to lead the formation of these Clusters. Our algorithm uses ants to choose good Cluster head candidates and to create a virtual backbone among these router nodes.
