Introduction: The university competes for social responsibility in a context affected by poor socioeconomic behaviors, weak productive and competitive capacity, with social problems that reflect its multifactoriality in health care, leading the creation of a multidisciplinary master's degree through a feasibility study that responds to global challenges such as intercultural dialogue, public health, climate change, food security, natural resource management, among others, that promotes the development of critical, creative and innovative thinking with citizen responsibility, ethics and fosters citizen culture. Objective: To analyze training needs and educational trends that support differentiating features for the master's degree to be offered for global health. Methodology: holistic research with a qualitative-quantitative approach, with documentary review and interview Results: Elements that characterized training components emerge, meaning two categories plants, care of life and sustainability as an object of study. In this work, the design and application of a robotic prototype, based on the movement of the hexapods, is presented as a motivating tool for learning mechanisms to transform movements, oriented at high school students. The research had a mixed approach, with a quasi-experimental design, which involved 16 of tenth grade students, together with the professor of the technology area. It is interesting to note that, before implementing the robotic prototype in the classroom, the 16 students had difficulties in identifying the concepts about mechanisms; In contrast, after having interacted with the prototype during an academic period, 15 of the 16 students identified the components and mechanisms related to the transformation of movements. It is concluded that the movement of the hexapods, applied in an educational robot, facilitates the learning of various topics in the area of technology, especially those related to the concepts of mechanics. - A proposal from Prensa Escuela to form and transform

A description of the main pedagogical strategies of the Prensa Escuela Program of Medellín is exposed, which were identified in the research: Mediation of the Prensa Escuela in citizen training and ethics, carried out in agreement between the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the Universidad of San Buenaventura and the newspaper El Colombiano. Through a qualitative methodology and documentary review, the written productions of the annual publication of the Program called El Taller (2012-2016) were analyzed to establish the procedures and strategies related to the key objectives, which are: criteria reading and production of responsible content. Thus, it was found that pedagogical strategies on ethics begin with reflection on oneself, are related to the interpretation of reality for the promotion of autonomy; as for citizen training, the recognition of the territory, the problematization of reality and narration are the key issues for its strengthening. - Web tool development for design and application of based on competencies assessments for Julio Caicedo y Tellez Educational Institute’s 5th grades

The Ministry of National Education, through ICFES, applies evaluations periodically called Saber tests, which aim to contribute to improving the quality of Colombian education. In the fifth grade of the Official Educational Institution Julio Caicedo and Tellez de Cali, low test results are evident in the language and mathematics competences, so a strategy is sought that allows them to be improved and in turn motivate students. This article describes the analysis, design and development of a web tool for the creation and application of assessments by competencies for fifth grade, developed using the Agile Unified Process methodology with some SCRUM instruments. As a result, a functional prototype was presented with a modern software architecture that showed a positive perception by the teachers and students of the institution, who applied the final prototype. - Particularities of the bachelor's degrees in humanities and Spanish language

The purpose of this paper is to socialize the results of a research, called "Characterization of teacher training in Humanities in Colombia", which aimed to explore trends and references regarding teacher training in the area of Humanities and Spanish Language in the country, after Decree 2450 of December 17, 2015 and Resolution 02041 of February 2016. For this purpose, the research was based on a descriptive analysis and on the parameters proposed by national policies in education and in the conceptual foundation on Humanities and Spanish Language. In this order of ideas, this paper presents a panorama of the educational policies that allow the programs to be structured and, later, it presents a descriptive analysis of the undergraduate programs in the Humanities area based on the concepts suggested by the regulations. - Khan Academy as a tool in learning mathematics and programming

The research identified the perception of the relationship between mathematics and computer science, and how the Khan Academy helps study in these areas. The mathematical and computing relationship, fundamental in the development of new technologies, must be taught with a constructivist and connectivist approach, and supported by ICT, seeking for the student to develop from an early age their abilities and interest in STEM careers. It is concluded that the use of Khan Academy was very positive, showing that for 83% of the students the tool managed to solve many of their questions. Likewise, for 67%, the topics covered in the selected courses allowed them to learn or reinforce their knowledge, and for 82%, the platform obtained a score between 4 and 5 points of acceptance in the use of the platform - Support strategies for mothers-teachers from a two-way vision of the family and school

This research aims to analyze accompaniment strategies employing mothers with training in education during the step of their children from the family to school environment. For this, it was neccessary to identify these strategies and also describe and characterizing these enviroments. The methodology is qualitative approach, type hermeneutic and used case study as methodological strategy.The population investigated were 8 mothers-teachers of Licenciatura en Educación Preescolar of Universidad Católica Luis Amigó. The technical information gathering is the semi-structured interview and techniques for the analysis were transcription data and the global and deep analysis. The evaluation of learning styles is a way of detecting the most appropriate pedagogical strategies to be used in each classroom or academic space, to make the teaching-learning process an increasingly personalized experience in which the results obtained by students can be optimized. In this research, preliminary results of the diagnosis of learning styles of students of the Master's Program in River Basin Management are presented, through the application of the Vark Test (Fleming and Mills, 1992), which investigates four of the styles of best known learning; In addition, additional information was obtained on aspects such as gender, place of origin and previous experience in distance learning. It is expected, with this preliminary diagnosis, to identify which are the main strategies that favor students, to strengthen the educational process in this and other types of distance learning programs. - Conjecture and classroom demonstration in teacher training

This research work shows how the processes of conjecture and mathematical demonstration in the framework of problem solving favor the development of mathematical thinking manifested by students of the Bachelor of Basic Education with an emphasis on Mathematics of the Santo Tomás University, in the modality from distance. The methodology of this research was qualitative in nature, through case studies of the participants, and was developed under the parameters of the didactic engineering of Michèle Artigue. The theoretical framework is based on the contributions of Gila Hanna (2000) regarding the functionality of the mathematical proof, the contributions of Harel and Sowder (2007) regarding the demonstration schemes developed by the students and the resolution of problems from the Alan Schoenfeld's perspective (1985). - Development of the mathematical modeling process in training graduates

For authors such as Blum, Galbraith, Henn and Niss (2007), modeling has its starting point in the conceptualization of a situation or problem of reality. For Blum and Borromeo-Ferri (2009), this process is schematized in a cycle that has certain phases that allow an adequate reasoning of the modeling problems. The Colombian educational policy implemented in the period 2002- 2018 established actions for the educational attention of populations framed in the principles of inclusion and equity, focusing its interest on populations in conditions of vulnerability, and developing tools to strengthen school practices and improve the learning of the population. The objective of the research in the preliminary phase is to characterize the didactic units implemented in the English area in communes 1 and 2 of Bucaramanga, which serve vulnerable students at the elementary and middle school level. To fulfill the purpose, an exploratory and descriptive research was proposed, focused on the analysis of the content of Colombian educational legislation for the definition of emerging categories of analysis; These categories were used to assess the pedagogical-didactic planning of the institutions. It was found that the planning in the area of English projected for the vulnerable population focuses on the definition of the evaluation, and relevant aspects of the frame of reference of the National Plan for Bilingualism are neglected, such as: the inclusion of basic learning rights, implementation of the teaching material and the functions of the second language. It is concluded that planning is essential to adequately articulate the intended curriculum —which is configured based on the regulations analyzed—, the applied curriculum —which is based on planning— and the achieved curriculum —which corresponds to that expressed by students in the massive assessment tests—, which is necessary for the effective acquisition of a second language. Finally, based on the results of the characterization, challenges and opportunities arise from pedagogical-didactic planning for the area, in order to direct actions to fulfill the objectives of the National Plan for Bilingualism. - Academic goals of high school students related to the gender variable

This research aimed to identify the relationship between the gender of elementary school and vocational high school students and their perspective on their academic goals, achievement and social reinforcement. A survey was carried out on 20 students of the General Santander School, aged between 12 and 18 years, applying an instrument of 20 questions with a Likert-type scale. The result showed that the significance value of all the questions is greater than α = 0.05; Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted, that is, there are no differences in the average of the responses obtained by the 7th, 8th and 10th grade students according to sex. It was concluded that the gender variable does not show great differences in any of the three factors analyzed, and that learning goals do have greater relevance compared to goals of achievement and social reinforcement. - Technology, an educational innovation strategy for preschool children approved by teachers and parents

Preschool goes from 3 to 5 years old, a period in which the child is interested in discovering, is curious, needs to know and learn. From this stage, human beings can learn the proper use of technological mediations, seen as support tools, as an innovative educational strategy that will allow men of the future to take advantage of the benefits of the digital world. The objective of the research is to show how the use of technology can be an educational innovation strategy for children's learning. The orientation of the methodological design of the research corresponds to a descriptive-quantitative, non-experimental study, with longitudinal data collection; A public educational institution in the municipality of Bello (Antioquia) with a preschool level was selected; For the sample, caregivers were selected, with a confidence level of 95% that resulted in 67; for the child experts, a sample defined by convenience with a total of 50 specialists, and the teacher-directors of the groups. The results show approval by teachers, parents and child specialists regarding the use of technology with positive impact and with proper supervision; This really is an effective, innovative strategy in the learning process in preschool children. - The body, a universe of meanings: corporal instrumentalization on the web and disembodiment at school

The body has been distorted and instrumentalized at school; This social phenomenon has grown in an “invisible” way and has gained strength in recent decades after the mastery of new technologies. The influence of the web on the reproduction of the bodily practices of young people has determined a new reading of education. It is no secret to anyone that new generations learn more from their interaction with new technologies than from the traditional classroom. However, unlimited access to various virtual experiences has triggered a phenomenon related to the body concept that will be the central interest of this research, which is in the initial phase and aims to demonstrate the mechanisms used by the web that affect the construction of a new concept of body in young people and the mobilization of a new idea of corporality in school. The research is exploratory and descriptive; content analysis and hermeneutics were implemented, which allow the interpretation of the phenomenon. The result of the first phase of the investigation related to the characterization of the phenomenon will be presented, which leaves as the most relevant conclusion so far the evidence of the instrumentalization of the body dimension that has been established largely with the immersion of new technologies and how these have transformed the body concept at school, thus influencing the teaching and learning processes. - Parents facing their children's television consumption

In order to characterize the habits, preferences and roles of parents in relation to their children's television consumption, an investigation was carried out with 70 parents from a children's home in the city of Bogotá, with whom a mixed investigative methodology was used. in which in-depth interviews and questionnaires were combined. The results of this research led to evidence that it is necessary to strengthen the criteria with which parents give value and meaning to television within one of the most important stages of their children's development
