This paper is the result of the researches “Image: Community of Meaning” (director: Felisa Santos) and “Discourse, Politics, Subject: Encounters Between Marxism, Psychoanalysis and Theories of Signification” (director: Sergio Caletti) of UBACyT Universidad de Buenos Aires, 2011. As a result of this exchange, we intend to investigate these conceptual shifts that enabled the redefinition of the category of populism in the light of the transformations of the Latin American political landscape, not only from a synchronic perspective, but recovering the historicity of the conceptual configuration. Specifically, we will dive in Laclau’s work, in which theory the concept of populism assumes one (precarious) place of arrival from which it is possible to think the new plots of Latin American politics. - Do New Technologies of Information and Communication Improve the Processes of Teaching and Learning Mathematics?

Paper derived from research “Environmental Moral Conscience from School: Transforming Attitudes for Sustainability”, held in 2012 at the Universidad del Tolima. This research aims to show the latent social need to have conscious individuals committed with sustainable development, and directs the efforts of education at the search for coherent strategies. In this regard, environmental education is responsible for cognitive and practical aspects, but shows little effect in changing attitudes, values and sustainable behaviors. For these elements to effectively integrate into the individual’s autonomy, it is proposed to integrally relate them to their moral and attitudinal development. To this end, this study proposes the application of mediations and the implementation of a pilot test in place to confirm the results of the intervention. - Urgency and Emergency of Our Own Epistemology: A Cosmogony of the Psyche

This paper presents an approach to the origins and evolution of geography knowledge to encourage those who are on the threshold of this discipline to the interpretation and analysis of its content, its nature and its scope as applied science. The last part of the paper will raise some issues about the scope and commitment of those who are invited to do geography more as an applied discipline than as a methodological and systematic tool for harmonizing the life of human societies and their interdependencies.
