The aim of this article is to determine the musical genre that can motivate both young men and women to exercise. The study had a non-experimental quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional design and correlational scope. The Brunel Music Rating Inventory-2 and the genres: pop, rock, hip-hop, reggaeton, electronic and regional band were used. In 2019, 239 young people were surveyed at a university in the central region of Mexico, who listened to two songs of each genre. The results determined that women preferred pop, reggaeton and electronic; meanwhile, men preferred pop, rock, hip-hop an electronic. A post hoc Tukey test was applied to find similarities and the results were validated by Cronbach's Alpha with levels between 0.92 and 0.983 together with an ANOVA test where, with the exception of regional band (although this genre does not motivate), they differ in tastes. We should choose songs that motivate when exercising or doing physical activities that involve the participation of both sexes. - Physical exercise in anxiety disorders: a review

Anxiety is one of the major mental health problems in today's society and physical exercise has been proposed as a possible treatment. The aim of the study was twofold: 1) to determine which measurement and monitoring instruments were used for the evaluation of anxiety when a physical exercise program was implemented; 2) to analyze the effectiveness of physical exercise applied for the reduction of anxiety disorder through recent scientific publications. A review was performed using PRISMA method, in PubMed, ScienceDirect, PsycArticles and SPORTDiscus with the descriptors of Anxiety AND Exercise between 2015- 2021. An initial 289 papers were obtained. Criteria were applied finally selecting 22 studies to analyze. The STAI continues to be the most widely used instrument. Physical exercise has been shown to be a valid guideline in reducing anxiety and improving mental health.
