Introduction: An important aspect within applied psychology are the new methods of evaluation and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using new technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (RA), games serious (SG), and video games. Method: This study is a systematic review of the literature aimed at analyzing the research on the effectiveness of VR to evaluate and/or intervene in children and adolescents with ADHD in the last 10 years. By following the Prisma protocol, the final sample consisted of 17 empirical studies published in Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct, Web of Science, Redalyc, and Oxford University. Results: The studies that used VR as an evaluation method concluded that it is as effective as the tools used to evaluate traditionally. Regarding the results of the VR interventions, these were characterized by presenting an improvement in the cognitive functioning of the participants who underwent the treatment. Conclusion: VR has proven to be a novel and effective alternative for the evaluation and treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents.
