Resumen: El trabajo se propone reconocer las prácticas de las mujeresque viven situaciones de violencia conyugal, visibilizando cómoellas identifican y significan algunas instituciones del sectorjudicial en las cuales pasan por el proceso de atención,especialmente la Fiscalía. Se hace énfasis en las relaciones degénero como componente sociocultural que incidesignificativamente en la problemática y permite entender elsentido construido por las mujeres en el acercamiento al sector.Se especifica la valoración de la institución, visibilizando lasdificultades que presenta actualmente y algunas sugerencias encuanto al papel y acciones de ésta.Palabras clave: Violencia conyugal, prácticas, género,justicia.Abstract: This paper aims to recognize the practices of women wholive situations of conjugal violence, making visible the ways inwhich they identify and signify some institutions of the judicialsector where they are assisted, especially the Attorney’s Office.Gender relations are stressed as a socio-cultural componentthat has significant influence on the situation, and allow us tounderstand the way women construct the meaning of theirapproach to the sector. Specifically, the way they evaluate theinstitution is taken into account, showing the difficulties theyencounter at present and making some suggestions about itsrole and actions.Key words: Conjugal violence, practices, gender, justice.
