El libro que el profesor Augusto Ramón Chávez Ma- rín pone en consideración de la comunidad acadé- mica no obedece al formato y estilo tradicional de las obras nacionales del Derecho Administrativo. Se trata de un trabajo que aborda ciertos temas de sustancial importancia en esta disciplina y que están ordenados a partir de los grandes capítulos en que se puede dividir hoy día este campo del conocimiento jurídico. Sin duda, son documentos que abren la puerta al debate académico, que plan- tean dudas, que ofrecen reflexiones, que concluyen sobre ciertas discusiones; nacidos del atesoramiento de inquietudes de un académico que ha trasegado por el pensamiento jurídico a lo largo de varios años de actividad docente y de un ejercicio profe- sional atento a las transformaciones de la norma administrativa.

The article presents the theories of state and power derived from the books of Hans Kelsen, Max Weber, Karl Marx, Norbert Elias, Michael Foucault and Catherine Mackinnon. To do so, a bridge is built between literature, historiography and political theory. It’s about a critical reconstruction that proposes an alternative vision of the conventional narrative of the theory and the history of state in the occidental world from a rigorous examination of it, but at the same time, of a questioning as rigorous of its epistemological fundaments: many of which are related to classist politics, ethnocentric and sexist.

This article aims to raise awareness, generally speaking, the different models and approaches that influence the shaping of public policies, and view with some Colombians examples, how some decision-making processes of public policies have been implemented in the country.

The article pretends to review the way how spanish doctrine and jurisprudence conceives the right to equal treatment. As can be seen observed from the very different exisiting criteria, this subject has been contentious. Some people deny its character of right, others recognize it, others consider it a principle and others, depending on the context where it is presented, give it the category of value, principle and right.

The objective of our investigation is to call for attention on what’s behind the control techniques for constitutionality which are utilized by the guardians of the constitution or the constitutional courts and its ideological and juridical load.Behind are the different world Cosmo-visions, as well as different starting points in the theory of knowledge, opposite positions in the theory of law and contrary premises of the theory of juridical interpretation and different ways to conceive the constitutional interpretation.In the same way, it is pretended to call attention on the unfixable philosophical-juridical starting points that are behind the interpretation that constitutional tributes make and that reflect the eternal dispute between Iuspositivism and Iusnaturalism. Methodologically, to demonstrate this assertion there’s going to be following to Ius philosophers that may serve as paradigm in the proposition of the problem.

This text has the objective to analyze which are the fundamental rights and if the social rights make part of this category. For this there’s an analysis from the historic perspective, taking as an approach the constitutional theory. At a methodological level the text is supported in a varied and solid bibliographic source with national and foreign authors.

The article presents the principal findings and conclusive debates of the investigation The Special Jurisdiction of Peace in Colombia: ¿A New Juridical Paradigm? from the analysis of the different instruments applied to diverse academic and institutional actors, and to the judges of peace; from the practices of themselves, and the essential debates proposed in the subject, it was proved that effectively this jurisdiction, introduced by the political letter of 1991, doesn’t constitute a new juridical paradigm.

The present article corresponds to a sample of the result of the investigation about the possibility of dialogue between political and juridical philosophy of Thomas Aquinas with the transnational contemporary political and juridical philosophy that is most influent in Colombia. In this opportunity for the encounter with the Aquinate, the following authors were chosen: Norberto Bobbio, John Rawls, Noam Chomsky and Robert Alexy.
