The first texts in which José Ortega y Gasset reflected on the technique were published in 1935. It has been almost a century and this text intends to rescue one of the concepts that the Spanish philosopher presented in Meditation on technique, namely supernatural. At present, the great challenge that technology has imposed has been to take its maximum exponent to artificial intelligence, to make it a challenging means of the limits that nature imposes on us. Among the most outstanding proposals within the field of artificial systems is superintelligence and uniqueness, two of the desires most longed for by thinkers such as Nick Bostrom or Raymond Kurzweil. So, if the technological field is focusing great efforts on the development of artificial intelligence, we should ask ourselves if the motivation behind such an impulse is truly based on the human need for a supernatural that Ortega y Gasset talked about so much. - Actually, art and knowledge. This article analyzes certain aspects of territory production based on administrative and economic power in the municipality of Sabaneta, Antioquia. Using the “case study” method as a research strategy, the analysis situates this territory as a unique case in terms of urban growth. In this context, it proposes a contextual, empirical, and theoretical dialogue concerning urban growth, the metropolitanization of the Aburrá Valley, planning instruments, population dynamics, and the actors in real estate and urban gentrification. It sheds light on the logics of contemporary capitalism and the practices of deregulation or normative adjustment by recent municipal governments. - The aesthetics of despair: un bel morir of Alvaro Mutis and criticism of modernity

This article intends to recount the aesthetic program developed by Alvaro Mutis in the third novel of the Saga de Maqroll el Gaviero: Un Bel Morir. This work is vitally important to understand, in Bourdieu’s words, the position assumed by the author. Specifically the shape-giving to the novel will be presented in a general way for relating to Joseph Conrad’s novel entitled Victoria. In this novel, the basic elements of the verbal creation are related to despair as a constituent axiology of the work. That is why a criticism against the modernity emerges to the level of an aesthetic program. This criticism could be defined from the novel itself as an artistic creation, and the axiology as a Mutis’ assumption of a position in the Colombian novel field. The theoretical field is the socio-critics due to the concepts stated - Afro-descendant students: challenges in inclusion and tutoring in Universidad Santo Tomás, Bogota

This article presents a review of the current process of inclusion of Afro-descendant students at the Universidad Santo Tomás (USTA), Bogota. It is based on the idea that the cultural dimension must be cornerstone in the inclusion of Afro-descendant students to understand their identity, avoid discrimination and racism, and ensure that the inclusion goes beyond economic benefits and allows the incorporation of knowledge of this community in higher education institutions. A qualitative methodology was implemented, in which institutional documents were reviewed and testimonies were collected from interviews that were later channeled under the categories of ‘racial discrimination / racism’, ‘Afro-descendant identity’ and ‘inclusion’. It was found that, except for the discount policy, to date there are no documents or practices explicitly oriented to the inclusion of the Afro-descendant community in USTA Bogota; however, there is openness from the different instances to build them. Likewise, the interviews revealed differences regarding the concept of ‘Afro-descendant’ and events of racism were voiced that did not have any record or support. It is concluded that there is a need for an institutional agreement on what means to be Afro-descendant and to generated strategies that go beyond quotas or discounts, and favor the identification and attention to symbolic interactions that could produce scenarios of racial discrimination. Inclusion policies for Afro-descendants should respond both to individual needs and to the openness of the University to interact with the historical and cultural contribution of this community. - Agricultural festivals and helium-lunar cycles in the world Andean: Carnival as the source of justice indigenous grasses and kamentsás

The article presents the most prominent aspects in the carnivals of Inti Raymy and forgiveness, being read under the light of the relation between time, language and justice. The first part of the text limits an analysis framework to think the carnival as an ethical regulation space meanwhile the second part tests the importance of reading through the voices of comuneros who participate in the carnival. It is about an ethnographical work that tries to make evident the social ruling that underlies this type of celebrations. - All subject is subject of technique. This essay contains an analysis on the ancient Greek concept of technology, through which it is demonstrated that the ancient concept, in opposed direction to the modern one, arises rooted into teaching and interpersonal recognition. The contemporary notion, as linked to mechanism, is prone to delete the subject, but the ancient Greek notion is unthinkable without the process of subjecting the individual to society. - The Americas: Identity, Integration and Independence

The name which has been given to the continent through five centuries of historical miscegenation has marked dependence and integration levels. In the centuries of domination of Spain it was emphasized to call it “New Orb” and “New World”, to diYerentiate it from the old. They were above all names which were imposed. In the same historical synchronicity it was given the name of “Indias” which marked a deep discrimination of the continent as well of all its inhabitants, including the same Spaniards who upon returning to their native peninsula were referred to, in a derogatory manner, as “Indianos “. The name “America”, originated in a mistake, as well as a profound injustice with Admiral Columbus. However, the men of independence will proudly restore it and its inhabitants will call themselves “Americans” or “American creoles” giving meaning to the origin of a historical identity of “Great Motherland”. In this respect, the ideals of Simon Bolivar, sought to harmonize the identity of America with the independence process and in turn assert the continental integration project. Bolívar’s dream and of the Americans in the early nineteenth century, was aimed at synthesizing these processes in three keywords: identity, independence and integration. - Among seismographs and pupils: the role of the humanities in university education today

This paper presents the results of a research project whose objective was to support the importance of the humanities in the concept of Quality University, since humanities should be understood as a horizon where thinking, fundamental function of the university as developed consciousness, is possible. To do this, from the perspective of philosophy of education, an argument was originated from categories emerged from theoretical texts, interviews, philosophical books and analysis of undergraduate theses of the faculties of Human Sciences of two universities in Bogota and based on the theory. Thus, this paper introduces a reflection of new humanities to open a space, within the university, for the construction of cosmopolitanism and the ability to think of the excluded and the event, issues necessary for the Latin American university. - An-Other Reading of Peace Construction in ELT

Someone recently suggested to me: “war is more profitable than peace” (J. Rodríguez, personal communication, October 24th, 2017). This prompted my consideration of the idea that peace construction in multiple settings could entail purposes other than the taken-for-granted and literal ones (Aldana, in press). In this reflective article, within the journal’s language and conflict theme, I will discuss discourses related to the handling of peace construction in order to examine its transformation in governmental, academic and media documents up to 2019. Documents containing the word peace in various contexts were selected, and as such the period varied. The work is approached from my position as a mixed-race educator and researcher with a decolonial and critical epistemological perspective. This qualitative exploratory study approaches peace construction in ELT from a field of methodological uncertainties and a creative toolbox. Both historicizing and critical discourse analysis resources are employed in an inclusionary manner to achieve the eventualisation (Restrepo, 2008) of multiple ways of understanding and referring to the construction of peace in ELT. In this sense, the role of language appears as an underlying starting point. The results discuss the discourse about pacification for progress in ELT as a discursive event with different universal and market interests. It constitutes an alternative reading of peace construction in ELT as linked to seemingly disperse discursive events mediated by language in real documents. - Análisis de la violencia de género y su impacto en la mujer estudiante de Policía de la Escuela Carlos Eugenio Restrepo

The purpose of this research was to prepare a documentary review in an exhaustive way on the different articles found in psychological journals and repositories at national level on occupational stress in Colombia (2013-2018). It analyzed and highlighted from a psychosocial approach the concept of occupational stress, the main models that try to explain this phenomenon, the causes and harmful consequences that originate in the individual and in the organization. A great number of articles on the subject were found in repositories, since in total there were 29 out of 55 data. Based on the results, it could be observed that 2014 and 2017 were the two years where more journals on occupational stress were obtained and the cities where most of the journals found that referred to the investigated topic were Medellin and Bogota, equivalent to 69.09 % of the total data. - Analisys and Interpretation in the Neo-pragmatistLiterary Discourse

Usually, the philosophers that follow the Anglo American tradition as the deconstructivist, defend the idea that a text interpretation means to find the meaning of this, associated whit the author s intention. This fact has created several reactions in the American neo-pragmatism, especially in Richard Shusterman. The central thesis in this paper is that the philosopher's work constitutes a middle way between the analytical and deconstructive proposal, where the interpretation is not conceived to unravel the author's hidden concepts and describe the meaning inserted in the text, but to develop and convey a meaningful response to it, taking in the account the social, cultural, historical and somatic experiences. - Analogical hermeneutics and its scope of application

This article shows some views related to analogical hermeneutics as a theory of interpretation in which the equivocity and univocity ends are avoided. Under this scenario it is of vital importance to take a historical journey through the notions of analogy and hermeneutics in order to show the relevance of this study. Above all, the aim is to avoid the polarizations that lead philosophy into undesirable grounds. Instead, a balance between absolutist exactitudes and complete ambiguity is sought. - An analogical rationality for poststructuralism

The following writing intends to show the need for an analogical rationality in the so-called post-structuralist authors such as the French Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze together with the Algerian Jacques Derrida. The text will show why, beyond being neo-structuralists, these authors are poststructuralists, and in this sense, it will reflect on a possible way out for this philosophical current. One cannot lose sight of the influence of those considered to be structuralist authors, such as: Saussure, Chomsky, Piaget, Lévi-Strauss or Barthes, since in them is found the origin of the critical project that the post-structuralists continued.

- Anselm and Ockham routes to reason God himself

Although with different ontologies, logical, linguistic theories (particularly the use of suppositio) and radical differences to the problem of universals, Anselm and Ockham are presented as two medieval thinkers who use their reason to assist the faith, and therefore agree the intuition of the common basis. Anselm's argument uses the assumption semantics, the logical and material implication, to 'think the greatness of the greatest' and release the spirit to 'the greatest' which by definition points beyond, right in the heart and one who create, using the appelatio semantically. For Ockham, this comprehension does not prove the predicate "existence" to distinguish between "show" and "test" denies any proof of the existence of God and believes that the routes of movement, efficient and final causation, are irrelevant because they lack evidence and from faith. He then turns to test the assumption of personal language, for "God" is not intentional meta-linguistic sign. - The apparent topicality in the debate about 3immigrants and refugees

The present paper analyses whether the roots of the current refugee and immigrant crisis are characteristic of our time. To this end, this crisis is compared with the one that took place in Europe during the 16th century, as a consequence of the ban on vagrancy, more specifically in Spain, in 1545. In that year, a series of juridical dispositions were passed following a movement that spread all over Europe to regulate the asking and giving of alms and to prohibit a custom that, up to that time, was tolerated to a certain extent: vagrancy. Domingo de Soto, a Dominican friar and one of the most prominent members of the School of Salamanca, published a comment titled Deliberación sobre la causa de los pobres (Discussion on the cause of the poor), which was replied soon after by the Benedictine monk Juan de Robles. The controversy gave rise to what was called “The debate on the poor”. The paper also analyses whether the keys to the interpretation of the problem are specific of our time or just a repetition. Finally, although a specific solution is not pointed out —given the dimensions of the problem, that seems impossible—, the paper tries to shed light on the discussion of the different alternatives and possibilities open to this humanitarian crisis. - An approach to women’s human rights from an analog-iconic hermeneutic reading of the story of Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1-22)

A reading, from the perspective of the analog-iconic hermeneutics, of 2 Samuel 13: 1-22 can contribute to the transformation of personal and community reali- ty, but also to the development of a theological reflection concerned about the human rights of people in vulnerable contexts of Colombian society, whose social fabric has been torn by armed conflict and domestic violence. This is a reading that is not limited to legitimize discourses (univocal reading, dogmatic) or simply accept any interpretation (misreading, relativistic) according to individual interests, but it proposes going to the actual context of the situations to free people from their stigmas and return them to society able to empower themselves and self-manage because it provides mechanisms that allow them to assert their interests legitimately, and demand government entities to abide by standards of conduct to which they are committed.
