The Serranía de Chiribiquete National Natural Park (PNN Serranía de Chiribiquete), a place of rock art located in the Serranía de La Lindosa (Nueva Tolima, Cerro Azul, and Raudal del Guayabero) in the department of Guaviare, Colombia, was recognized as mixed heritage of humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) in the Government of former President Juan Manuel Santos, and it is an area that has been directly affected by the armed conflict; at the time, by the guerrilla group of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP) and currently by residual dissidents of the same group.  The Serranía de Chiribiquete PNN is a sacred place considered the cradle of humanity, where human rights and art go hand in hand, which requires special protection due to the vulnerability to which it is exposed by groups outside the law. , the indiscriminate felling of the jungle, and illegal tourism without awareness of protection. These situations arise due to the need for survival of the settlers of the place, since their main and only source of income in previous years depended on illicit crops and drug trafficking, ignoring that these are sacred territories in which there are indigenous communities that they do not wish to be contacted by the rest of humanity.
