Through the signing of the peace treaties between the Colombian government and theFARC-EP (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), the former territorial spaces fortraining and reintegration –AETCR– were created for former combatants. This work aimsto analyze the life strategies of the community of ex-combatants of the “Héctor Ramírez”Population Center Agua Bonita, La Montañita-Caquetá, Colombia, using the livelihoodsmethodology and, from this, to characterize the seven capitals of the community. (human, social, natural, financial, political, cultural and physical). This made it possible to identifylife strategies and generate a quality of life index, obtaining information through surveys, interviews and direct observation of said population. It was found that the AETCR, todaycalled the Populated Center, presents great capacities to adapt to the roots of the ruralcommunities of the municipality, showing great advances in terms of social reconciliation, reintegration into civil life and contributions in cultural issues to the surrounding communities. The main conclusion is that this community of ex-combatants has been adaptingvery well to the needs of the environment and to the good social relationship with thecommunities, which demonstrates their great interest in the reincorporation process andtheir re-socialization to civil life.
