Estudio descriptivo, prospectivo, longitudinal, realizado entre Diciembre de 1996 y Junio de 1997 en el servicio de alto riesgo obstétrico del Hospital General de Medellín pretendiendo detectar el impacto psico-sexual de las pacientes sometidas a histerectomía por una patología benigna. Se obtuvo un grupo de 19 pacientes a las que se les realizó un test de criterios de exclusión, un Pre-test y 4 meses después de la cirugía un Post-test. Con lo anterior se logró relacionar la aparición de disfunción sexual con la práctica de la Histerectomía y también se logró asociar otra serie de factores agravantes que inducen a pensar en que la presentación de esta patología no tiene un origen orgánico únicamente. ABSTRACT Descriptive, prospective, longitudinal study, carried on between December 1996 and June 1997 in the high risk obstetrics service from the General Hospital of Medellín; pretending to detect the psycho-sexual impact on patients submitted to Histerectomy because of a benign pathology. A group of 19 patients who received an exclusion criteria test, a Pre-test and a Post-test 4 months after the surgery was obtained. With this it was possible to relate the apparition of sexual disfunction with the practice of the Histerectomy and it was also possible to associate another series of aggravating factors that induce to think that the presentation of this pathology does not only have an organic origin.
