This present article reflects on the concept of humanistic administration, which has become more relevant when observing different theories and contemporary administrative tendencies. For this, the authors locate three different moments in which they try to specify in the first instance a brief tour of the development of administrative theory, revealing there how man has always been present. In the second moment, they gather from some epistemological details, how the humanist understanding has been constituted as an axis favoring an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary perspective of the administration. And, finally, the discussion regarding the relationship between company and social commitment is contextualized.
