Organizational and business development consulting is an area in constant growth for the improvement of the organizational performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), change management must be carried out properly in the mechanical and dynamic part, as in the different stages that integrate it. By omitting and not taking these into account, you take the risk of not generating the expected change and weakening the organization with unnecessary, misdirected or implemented efforts. Knowing the stages of a consulting process, understanding the different elements that constitute these stages, as well as the implementation according to each stage, will help the proper objectives establishment and their fulfillment. This methodological note seeks to be a support and reference for the area consultants, clarifying that it is not restrictive nor exclusive, so it can be complemented or used as support for an existing process - Operational implementation of an intervention model to improve organizational performance

The failure of MSMEs in Mexico is one of the highest in the world and despite the fact that the main causes of these failures have been identified and categorized: problems to sell, produce and operate, control of operations, planning and management, it has not been possible to reverse them, proof of this is their high death rate. It is known that properly diagnosing the problem and incorporating various administrative and operational elements to the organization and implementing short, medium and long term strategies, can improve organizational performance in SMEs and thus decrease the failure rate. The purpose of this article is to propose a model of operational implementation parallel to that applied by a consulting team to a group of seven radio broadcasters in Mexico (that achieved improvement of organizational performance), which integrates the administrative and operational elements that counteract the main causes of failure by improving organizational performance, comprised by financial performance and operational performance. The research used a mixed model with concurrent design through a descriptive and explanatory case study. The importance of the operational model of implementation is to facilitate their execution by members of the organizations without requiring a team of experts to achieve it
