Como se había planteado en el artículo "Grupo Empresarial Antioqueño. Evolución de políticas y estrategias, 1978-2002", publicado en el número 1 de la Revista EIA, el análisis de las políticas y estrategias del GEA debe conducir a un modelo que permita pensar y estructurar el futuro del Grupo, a la luz de los cambios queafronta el país y el mundo.En esta oportunidad se presenta un análisis DOFA del modelo histórico del GEA, denominado "modelo de enroque", con una propuesta de un nuevo esquema de gobierno que responda en forma oportuna a las circunstancias cambiantes del mundo: el modelo de "holdings".Abstract: As we had discussed in the article "Grupo Empresarial Antioqueño. Evolución de políticas y estrategias,1978 - 2002", published in the first edition of the magazine Revista EIA, the analysis of the policies and strategies of the GEA should conclude in a model that allows considering and structuring the future of the Group, in accordance with the changes that the country and the world are undertaking. In this occasion we are presenting a SWOT analysis of the GEA historical model, called "Modelo de Enroque", which proposes a new government plan that will efficiently response to the changing world circumstances.  

El foco de los temas tratados se centra en la identificación de las políticas y estrategias corporativas delGEA desde su gestación en 1978 hasta 2002. Una forma simple de acercarse al contenido del trabajo esmediante algunas preguntas tales como: ¿Cuáles han sido las principales políticas y estrategias corporativasdesde sus inicios? ¿Existen realmente políticas y estrategias comunes? ¿Han existido siempre? ¿Están escritas ohan sido tácitas? ¿Existe alguna política general sobre el manejo de las políticas y estrategias? ¿Qué impacto hatenido la apertura económica en las políticas y estrategias? ¿Hay políticas especiales respecto a los sectoresdentro de los cuales opera el GEA, por ejemplo, sólo estar en aquellos sectores en los que pueda ser líder? ¿Esconveniente conservar las políticas hacia el futuro?Abstract: The main point of the topics exposed is focused on the identification of the corporative policies andstrategies of the GEA, since it was founded in 1978 until 2002. A simple way to look at the content of thisdocument is by the use of questions such as: Which have the main corporative policies and strategies beensince GEA s foundation? Are there indeed common policies and strategies? Have they always existed? Are theywritten, or are they understood beforehand? Is there a general policy concerning the management of policiesand strategies? What impact has the economic opening had in the policies and strategies? Are there specialpolicies concerning the sectors in which GEA can act as a leader institution? Is it convenient to keep thepolicies in the future?
