Research tends to show results and only in some specific instances, it exposes the creative process and the implementation of a methodological strategy. This article presents a description and an analysis of the methodological strategy designed for the study “Experiences on communication and development about the environment in Colombia’s Andean region”.Initially it explains the context of this project, then it highlights conceptual references, it describes the methodological design and the processes of gathering and classification of information in each phase, it mentions the difficulties, and the lessons derived from this project are also discussed at the end of this article.
