- Methodological strategies impacting the development of literacy in first grade students

Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze, identify and describe the methodological strategies implemented in the classroom to improve the learning processes of literacy in first grade students from the Educational Institution Mano Amiga - Bello. Methods: The methodology used is based on a qualitative paradigm through a hermeneutical approach, and the data collection techniques implemented were: a test, a non-participant observation and a participant observation. Results: It was possible to analyze that all different methodological strategies show different phases in which the students find themselves how their development is, what skills and previous knowledge they have and the ways in which they have been able to appropriate this knowledge through strategies and teaching experiences. Conclusions: This process allows to confirm that these strategies have a significant effect to promote learning time to the rhythms and needs of schoolchildren.
