The relevance of the basic, general and transversal competences within the communication degrees, is the starting point of this research that shows the proposal of teaching planning and evaluation that combines the Project Based Learning (PBL) method with an assessment of these projects and another kind of practices inwhich competence in communication and oral expression is integrated as the main character. The diversity of possibilities in presenting ideas and projects (pitching , elevator pitch , pecha kucha , an exhibition supported by a poster, debates, etc.) is included in the evaluation proposal regarding the topics of advertising and publicrelations strategies for audiovisual products; a main subject of the Audiovisual Communication Degree at the University of Vigo; ensuring that students improve their communication skills enhancing their professional future within the audiovisual and cinematographic sector.
