Introducción: El consumo de sustancias psicoactivas ilegales es un problema de salud pública que afecta la calidad de vida y el área psicosocial de los pacientes, además de generar un alto costo en recursos públicos. Objetivo: El presente estudio realizado en el Hospital Universitario Erasmo Meoz de la ciudad de Cúcuta buscó caracterizar a los pacientes que consumen estas sustancias, analizando variables sociodemográficas, sustancias detectadas, manejo médico y abordaje interdisciplinar. Método: Es un estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, de tipo no experimental, retrospectivo con corte transversal. Se identificaron un total de 426 historias clínicas, posterior a aplicar los criterios de inclusión se contó con un total de 369 historias clínicas para el análisis Resultados: La mediana de edad de los pacientes fue de 26 años, con un 82% de hombres. El 21% eran habitantes de calle y el 53% solteros. El 52% asistió al servicio de urgencias por intoxicación aguda, y el 24% por síndrome de abstinencia. La estancia hospitalaria promedio fue de 2,3 días. Un 49,6% negó experimentar craving, mientras que el 38,5% lo experimentó. El manejo interdisciplinario involucró principalmente a trabajo social, psicología, psiquiatría y toxicología, con tratamiento farmacológico basado en benzodiacepinas y moduladores del estado de ánimo. Hubo dos muertes asociadas al consumo. Discusión: El estudio refleja la tendencia nacional en el consumo de marihuana y cocaína, con inicio en edades entre 10 y 20 años. Se identificó una baja adherencia al tratamiento y un subregistro en la detección de patologías duales. Estos hallazgos destacan la importancia de contar con datos epidemiológicos locales para desarrollar políticas de salud pública efectivas.

This research aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties and standardization of the Neuropsychological Assessment of Executive Functions in Children Test (ENFEN in Spanish). This was a non-experimental quantitative and psychometric study with a convenience sample of 367 participants (171 children and 196 girls, 46,6 % and 53,4 %) of both rural and urban areas, aged 6 to 12 years (M = 8,99, SD = 1,88). The method of exploratory factor analysis by principal components was used to establish criterion and content validity against the executive function subscale of the ENI. Exploratory factor analysis yielded a single factor explaining 58,86 % of the total variance, like the original test results. Statistically significant correlations between all subscales and the ENI was found (p <0,05). Results show that the ENFEN is a valid tool for assessing executive functions in children of urban and rural areas which can be used in clinical and research field test.

Objective. To establish the relationship between birth weight and neuropsychological maturity in preschool students of one public school and one private school from the city of Tunja, Colombia, and equally the differences between the type of institution and the sex of the participants. Method. Using a cross sectional correlational-descriptive study, a group of 72 children from 36 to 78 months ( M = 54.19, SD = 9.88) was evaluated with the questionnaire of Neuropsychological Maturity (CUMANIN). The weight of the children was registered with information from the parents and checked with the birth card. Results. Meaningful differences were found only between birth weight and the subscale of psychomotricity ( p = 0.265, CI = 95%). Girls perform better than the boys. The verbal scale with better performance was presented in the participants of the private school. Conclusion. Birth weight can be related with the psychomotor development, the results confirm the findings obtained previously by comparing the sex and the type of institution to which the children attend.
