In recent years, the video game industry has moved beyond the context of entertainment and can be seen as a leisure component, which is integrated into learning models and benefits the development and achievement of specific competencies, skills and abilities through the approach of new teaching-learning strategies that transcend the practices of traditional education. However, despite the exponential growth of this industry, educational institutions continue to oppose the systematic incorporation of these entertainment environments into the curricula, ignoring the great didactic and creative possibilities they possess. Thus, this research aims to support the implementation of video games from an educational perspective oriented to the development of logical-mathematical skills in undergraduate students, seeking to demonstrate the benefit of their integration into the learning process through a research approach related to computer science and science in education, by proposing the video game “The Treasure Hunter and The Island of Numbers”.
