This study aims to gain the psychological profile of the Mexican inmates by the administration of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) of de Bucher et al. (1989) in his Mexican adaptation of Lucio, Reyes-Lagunes, and Scott, 1994) and to obtain the main characteristics that define his personality. They were a total of 2,051 Mexican participants of which 853 are inmates of various jails of the Federal District and the State of Mexico and whose results were compared with 1.198 participants no prisoners to appreciate their differences. The results show the characteristic peculiarities personal prisoners and inmates, especially highlighting the psychopathic deviation (Pd), Paranoia (Pa), Introversion social (Si) and depression (D). This psychological profile can complete the information already obtained with profiles socio demographic of Mexican prisoners drawn up by the different polls published by the Centro de Investigación y Docencia económicas (CIDE).
